GDPR
As you all (hopefully) know, the privacy legislation in Europe is subject to significant change. As of April 2016, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) has come into effect in all member states of the EU. In order to give companies and organisations enough time to prepare themselves, the GDPR will be enforced starting May 2018.
Insight
The GDPR requires companies to have complete insight and proven understanding of their data-processes and privacy risks. This information should be available in an actual privacy administration.

Tenable
I can hear you think: Where is the link with Tenable here …
The new legislation compels organisations to prove to the authorities that they are in control of the information security within your organisation. This means that you need to take a close look at security risks of “People” (Awareness, Safe Behaviour), “Processes” (Policies, procedures and codes) and “Technology” (Technical controls, Secure network and systems)
Evidence
The GDPR includes an obligation to report data breaches to the authorities. When a data breach occurs, you must be able to produce materials that proof that you are in control. With Nessus Professional you are in control of your network, you know exactly what equipment is installed in the network and what their vulnerabilities are. Being in control of your information security starts with a complete overview of all the equipment/assets in your network.
Nessus
Tenable Nessus Professional is the ideal tool to provide this information. This well-known product scans the network, discovers all the assets and immediately analyses the vulnerabilities of the discovered asset.
